Coxswains! Think you're too small to row? The coxswain is an extremely important part of every crew. They verbally control the boat's steering, speed, timing, and fluidity. In a race, the coxswain is tasked with motivating the crew as well as steering the straightest course possible to minimize the distance to the finish line. These people are usually under 130 lbs to minimize their impact on the boat's speed.
