20th Anniversary C3: Captial Campaign for Crew

In 1989 a handful of students got a boat and four oars and started to row on the Chattahoochee. These students traveled to the river, in Roswell, from downtown Atlanta and Georgia State University. They came in the dark and in the cold and in the rain. In 2009, the rowing team will celebrate its twentieth birthday. Now with 40+ members, the team still gets up at 4am, five days a week, eight months a year and spends an average of ten weekends traveling to regattas to compete--and win. Crew at Georgia State may still be making a name for itself, but when the team shows up at races, heads turn and long-standing crews are reminded that they have tough competition. In honor of twenty years of rowing at Georgia State, the team is launching C3: A Capital Campaign for Crew. The goal is to raise $20,000 to mark twenty years of crew. We need your help...
